lf you have any problem installing the cover, ask the help of your trusted upholsterer. This guide intended, is only to help you to instal the Volcano Industry Seat Cover correctly. However, you may find a valid alternative.
Volcano Industry is not responsible for damage to things or persons during the assembling and setting of the seat cover.
You will need
- Safety glasses
- An Heavy Duty stapler with 6mm (1/4 “) tips
- Flat-tipped screwdriver
- Cutter
- Felt tip pen/marker
- Grinder with frosted disc
Before starting
Remove the old seat cover lifting it with a flat head screwdriver. lf you prefer, help with flat-tipped pliers. lf the original seat cover is glued to the foam, we advise you to mount the Volcano Industry Seat Cover above the old one.
Step 1
Use a felt-tip pen to mark the perimeter on the foam where you will insert the Volcano Industry Gel Pad.
Step 2
Remove the film from the Volcano Industry Gel Pad and attach the Gel Pad on the foam rubber. Thanks to the transparency of the Gel, you can trace the perimeter previously made on the foam rubber.
Step 3
Use the blade of an 8mm cutter (equal to the height of the Gel piote) and trace a furrow on the foam along the perimeter marked with the felt-tip pen. Using the some cutter or a knife, roughly remove the inside perimeter of the foam rubber.
Step 4
Use the grinder, with emery disc, or a coarse-grained abrasive paper, to level and smooth the base and edges of the seat where the Volcano Industry Gel Pad will be embedded (This phase is important for the final result to be aesthetically nice).
Step 5
Clean the surface of the foam and piace the Gel Pad on the saddle with the heat-reflecting plate facing upwards, make sure that the shape made with the marker still correspond. Now cut the gel with the cutter and place it inside the created housing. Replace the cover by fixing it with the stapler.
